Youth exchange "You(th) for Democracy" Sighetu Marmatiei, Romania

"I am Leonidia and together with Dimitris we participated in the youth exchange entitled "YOUTH4DEMOCRACY", which took place in Sighetu Marmatiei in Romania from 11 to 18 December and its main theme was democracy. At the same time, we met other participants from Greece, Italy, France, Spain, Hungary, Lithuania and Romania. The aim of the project was to analyze, understand and adopt democratic ideas.

I participated in an Erasmus+ project again and I can say that it was the best experience I have had so far. Together with Dimitris we started our trip having received instructions and clarifications from the Youth Center of Epirus, to make our transition smooth. In Romania, we were welcomed like more than just family. We had the opportunity to express our opinions and listen to different ones in order to reflect and grow as individuals. During the program, we were provided everything we needed and even more, we had the opportunity to visit a part of Ukraine where we ate and talked with Ukrainians who lived in the war zone. A truly indescribable experience. We made new friends and left in tears promising to meet again.

It is such a special way to create memories and gain new knowledge and motivation to realize your goals and dreams. Thank you so much for the opportunity to participate and I hope every young person can experience it at some point in their lives."
